CORONAVIRUS - Maintain Your Plot During The Uk Coronavirus Lockdown

The official government advice from Michael Gove on this mornings BBC Breakfast

Plot Holders and members of their household should continue to visit the site to maintain their plots during the UK emergency lockdown period.

Households where there is a confirmed diagnoses of Coronavirus or where a member is showing symptoms of the disease must self-isolate and MUST NOT visit the site until they are clear of infection.

The general SOCIAL DISTANCING GUIDELINES must be observed at all times. Please do everything possible to prevent the spread of the disease, especially by understanding the need to clean hands when using common touch points and not sharing equipment.

  • Always maintain a distance of 2m / 7ft between yourself and other people

  • Wash/disinfect hands thoroughly immediately BEFORE & AFTER unlocking or locking the gates

  • Wash / disinfect hands thoroughly BEFORE & AFTER touching the Water Tank handle

  • DO NOT wash your hands in the Water Tank. Instead bring a flask of warm water and soap with you to the plot

  • Do not share tools

  • Under no circumstances bring visitors to the site who are not members of your household
