Dementia Friendly plot - OSCARS

With mounting evidence of the benefit to health and wellbeing that gardening brings to many people, ‘ Social Prescribing’ is now recognised as a valuable alternative to traditional drug therapy.

It took 2 years of hard work by volunteers and generosity of local donators to bring our Dementia- Friendly Plot into reality, but it was all worth it as it is proving very popular with local residents and groups supporting people with memory loss.

of course we were overwhelmed to have Matt baker feature the plot on the episode of BBC Countryfile filmed at out allotments

Please contact us if you would like to join the group of volunteers who help maintain this much loved plot.
